Quality Sod Installation
We aim to inspire, educate and guide our clients to enhance curb appeal through our subcontractors installing beautiful, lush sod. In Northwest Florida, over the years we have found the right type of sod that grows and performs better for different types of soils. Our subcontracting team will examine your area for sod installation including, but not limited to sun and/or how much shade each area is exposed to. There may be cases where ground cover (jasmine, liriope and others) is a sound choice where sod may not thrive due to area conditions.

Sod Installation Information
We find working with our subcontractors and homeowners the following topics may be helpful in determining the process of successfully completing an amazing sod installation:
- Rototilling the Ground: Whether you are installing a new lawn or trying to rejuvenate an old one, a rototiller can help you level the ground as it turns over the soil. Rototilling will also alloy you to work starter fertilizers into the soil to help produce a lush lawn.
- Grading: Grading the surface will loosen the soil, making it easier for roots to form and penetrate the soil. Failure to grade the surface may lead to the sod having a harder time forming roots.
- Top-Soil: Although it may not be necessary to add top-soil, it may be beneficial to add nutrients to the lawn.
- Root Stimulation: It is recommended to spread starter fertilizer to the soil directly before the installation of the sod. We avoid fertilizers that are high in Nitrogen that may hurt and stress the sod.
- Laying the Sod: We lay the sod slabs neatly placed together without gaps which would allow weeds to grow in between.
- Rolling the newly lay Sod: We use a heavy roller for a final even and level surface. It is an important step so the root system can develop properly as contact with the soil beneath is crucial for healthly sod growth.
- AND, FOR A LAWN TO EXPERIENCE AMAZING GROWTH & APPEARANCE, IT IS CRITICAL TO HAVE THE BEST IRRIGATION SYSTEM IN PLACE! We are the irrigation experts with over 20 years of irrigation installation experience throughout Northwest Florida!
